Over 60 speakers and 500 of your professional peers will converge in January 2014 to address cutting-edge tax issues affecting corporations, privately held companies, partnerships and real estate, individuals, tax ethics, enforcement and compliance, and estate planning. This three-day institute features popular morning updates on current developments, afternoon breakouts sessions, intimate evening workshops and two networking receptions. CE units for lawyers, accountants and financial planners, and legal specialization credit in Taxation Law and Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, are available.

Planning is underway for the 2014 Tax Institute. We anticipate programming will be similar to that of the 2013 Tax Institute. We can confirm that popular speakers Mark Silverman, Blake Rubin and Professor Jeffrey Pennell will return to provide their popular morning updates.

The 2013 Tax Institute featured top speakers sharing vital takeaways.
- Monday - Business Tax Planning
Monday's sessions focused on corporate and business tax planning issues, with separate programming tracks on tax planning for large corporations and for privately held businesses. Popular returning speaker Mark Silverman kicked off the day with his annual review of recent developments in corporate tax planning. Pamela Olson, U.S. Deputy Tax Leader and WNTS Leader, PWC, provided the keynote luncheon address. The day also included a hosted networking reception and intimate evening workshops. - Tuesday - Partnerships, Individual, and Ethics
Tuesday featured three concurrent tracks of programming, focusing on partnerships and real estate, individual tax planning, and tax ethics, compliance and enforcement issues. Long-time opening speaker Blake Rubin returned with an update on partnership and real estate tax law. Kathryn Keneally, Assistant Attorney General, Tax Division, U.S. Department of Justice, gave Tuesday's keynote luncheon presentation. The day ended with a hosted networking reception and evening workshops. - Wednesday - Estate Planning
Wednesday was dedicated to estate planning issues. Jeffrey Pennell, the Richard H. Clark Professor of Law at Emory University's School of Law, provided his trademark morning update. Professor Paul Caron, University of Cincinnati College of Law and Pepperdine University School of Law, provided the keynote luncheon presentation. For the first time there was an additional intimate evening workshop on Wednesday, which followed a hosted networking reception.
