Gillian Hadfield

Professor Gillian K. Hadfield is the Richard L. and Antoinette S. Kirtland Professor of Law and Professor of Economics at the University of Southern California and a Visiting Professor at Columbia University's School of Law. She is director of the Southern California Innovation Project funded by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, and of the USC Center for Law, Economics and Organization and was a 2006-2007 fellow of the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford. Prior to joining USC, she was a faculty member at the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Toronto, and the Global Law School at New York University. Professor Hadfield was a national fellow at the Hoover Institution in 1993, and senior visiting Olin fellow at Columbia Law School in 1998. Professor Hadfield holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University.
