Matt DeGrushe
Assistant Dean and Dean of Career Services
Matt joined the Career Services Office in 2005 after serving as director of the Pepperdine University School of Law Career Development Office. Prior to his time at Pepperdine, Matt spent four years working at the USC Marshall School of Business in the MBA Career Resource Center, as well as several years as a recruiter for McKinsey & Company in Los Angeles and New York.
Originally from New York City, Matt earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Indiana University in 1990 and his Masters in Education from the USC Rossier School of Education in 2003. Matt is an avid college sports fan with strong loyalties to the USC Trojans and Indiana Hoosiers. In his spare time he enjoys playing tennis, photography and spending time with his dogs.
Suzanne Huntley Levy, Esq.
Director
Suzanne earned a B.S.B.A. in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and her J.D. from USC in 2001. She is responsible for counseling students and alumni/ae and organizing and presenting workshops, panels and other career-related presentations. Prior to joining the CSO, Suzanne practiced corporate law at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter and Hampton LLP and later counseled students about career development issues and the judicial clerkship application process at Pepperdine University School of Law.
Rachel Kronick Rothbart, Esq.
Assistant Director
Rachel joined the Career Services Office at the end of 2009. She is responsible for counseling students and assisting the CSO with presentations. Admitted to the state bars of Florida and California, she practiced family law at the Legal Aid Society in Miami, Florida and the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law in Los Angeles, California. While at the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, she served as an attorney and Director of Legal Services, supervised volunteers and staff, revised the Center's handbook on domestic violence, gave presentations and conducted trainings, worked with public interest groups, and participated in the planning of local and statewide legal trainings. Rachel served on the Executive Committee for the Family Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association
Although a military brat during the early part of her life, Rachel calls Charleston, South Carolina her hometown because of her family's strong roots to the community. She earned a B.A. in politics and history from Brandeis University and her J.D. from University of Miami School of Law. When not at work, you can find her spending time with her family, walking around the neighborhood and collecting pens and stationery.
Ronald Han
Assistant Director
Ron graduated from the University of California Berkeley and earned his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center. Ron is responsible for counseling students and alumni in career planning and job search strategies, and for advising judicial clerkship candidates. Ron joined the Career Services Office after serving as an Associate Director for the Career Development Office at Pepperdine University School of Law. Prior to that, Ron practiced as a litigation attorney representing a broad range of clients in state and federal court in the areas of intellectual property, complex commercial litigation, real estate, and labor and employment. Ron is a die-hard fan of the Los Angeles Clippers and the California Golden Bears, and a fan-in-law of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
